Flashbacks are curated selections from the world’s growing pool of digital archives, the online versions of documents, images, film footage and audio files that acquaint us with history and show us who we are. The site also includes items from other online sources.

As a journalist who curates under The Art Junkie label, I am fascinated by historical archives. I’ve had the luck to work with exceptional professional librarians and to plow through traditional archives with my own hands for research.
