Buried under decay
of roots, moss, lichen
and the sleeping ferns,
sap of the forest runs
now, drums now, bursts
into the sun now. Spring.
This is Cathedral Grove, on Vancouver Island, home of some of Canada’s tallest trees, many of them Douglas Firs. For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Spring – Wood.
I was going to say looks like Oregon. Vancouver works for me though. Wonderful photo.
