Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus announced this week they’ll no longer use elephants in shows due to a shift in public opinion about the treatment of the majestic animals.A quick look back at circus elephants, now that they’re being phased out.

Wow, can’t believe these photos were taken here in Australia. How neat. They reminded me of the book Water for Elephants and the Charlton Heston movie The Greatest Show on Earth.
